Professor Anil Srinivasan, Visiting Professor of Practice, Literature and the Arts, School of Interwoven Arts and Sciences (SIAS), was conferred the prestigious RCME Dronacharya Award for Teaching and Mentoring, in October 2025. More recently Professor Anil was the keynote speaker at ThinkEdu 2026 by The New Indian Express. He headlined the discussion titled ‘AI in Arts: Why Humanity Will Survive’.

Dr Shyam Kumar Sudhakar, Associate Professor, Biological Sciences, SIAS, delivered a talk titled 'Graph-based and Machine Learning Approaches to Understanding Brain Health and Function' as part of the Synapse neuroscience conference on 6-7 March 2026 at IISER Tirupati. Undergraduate students from Krea—Nidhi, Zoeya, and Kailash—also presented their ideas during the ideathon held alongside the conference.

Team Samarthan, the social service committee of IFMR Graduate School of Business (GSB), organised Lakshmi Bal Mahotsav (LBM) on 9 March 2026, welcoming children from an orphanage to campus for a day filled with fun, creativity, and interaction. The event featured performances by student clubs, outdoor games, drawing activities, a cartoon movie screening, and a puppet show. Through music, dance, and engaging games, the day created joyful moments and meaningful interactions between students and the visiting children, making it a heartwarming and memorable celebration for everyone involved.

DWDG Future Leaders Program – Module 2
|
Do Well Do Good (DWDG), a leadership initiative at IFMR GSB, successfully conducted Module 2 of the DWDG Future Leaders Program on 11 March 2026, marking a key transition for participants from conceptual learning to structured execution. Six teams of six students each developed strategic presentations addressing pressing sustainability challenges. Drawing on research and data-driven insights, the teams translated complex issues into practical business strategies across four focus areas—Climate, Energy, Mobility, and Circular Economy. The presentations were evaluated by Professor Lakshmi Kumar, Dean, IFMR GSB, whose feedback offered valuable perspectives on the feasibility and potential impact of the proposed solutions.
