A Round-up of the Kreaverse
Hello November. The month of gentle sunrises, cocooned in warmth, with light that lifts the shadows — a month of promises, as we slowly usher the year to a gradual conclusion. And what a year it has been! There is so much to look back, raise a toast and rejoice at. There is also so much to gaze forward into, the promise of a young and fiercely ambitious institution realising its vision, one step at a time. This journey undoubtedly is an exhilarating experience for all of us.
The calendar is packed with exciting occasions, including the inauguration of our new academic block, Higher Education Day, Wellbeing Week, rich cultural evenings curated by student-led bodies and so much more. The transformative learning at Krea definitely doesn’t happen just within the classroom, the walls are blurred and extraordinary experiences are created. Various talks, both offline and online continue to bring distinguished speakers to Krea, with novel narratives on critical topics; a true definition of porous boundaries.
Students leave no stone unturned, fuelling the spirit of enquiry, and turning fresh pages in knowledge gathering. Encouraging and supporting this very sentiment, Krea has also launched a new scholarship programme, established by our Chancellor Mr Lakshmi Narayanan.
The future is filled with promise, of new accomplishments, and we are excited to say the least. Krea, this Week will continue its endeavour in curating news from across the Kreaverse and dispatching it weekly with a dose of motivation, to the Krea family each week, with your kind support. If you have stories or news to share with the Krea community, we invite you to connect with us at all.commsteam@krea.edu.in.

At Krea, we use an estimated 2,000 paper coffee cups on campus every day, amounting to 5,80,000 paper cups per academic year. To align with our sustainability goals and commitments, the Office of Student Life (OSL), in partnership with the University's student sustainability organisation, Rekreate, is launching an initiative to replace paper cups with washable, reusable ones.
The initiative hopes to reflect the needs and ideas of the entire university community and each member’s input is essential. The team invites all Krea members to take part in a short survey to share thoughts, support and any suggestions. This is an opportunity to make a meaningful impact on our campus’s environmental footprint and any feedback will directly shape how we implement this project.
