A Roundup of the Kreaverse

A new trimester has begun. Newcomers are getting their first taste of Kreaverse, while clubs and committees are welcoming them with exciting events. Social media is filled with inspiring updates of students securing placements, pursuing internships, and heading abroad for higher studies and summer programmes. Our faculty members are delivering lectures in conferences, presenting papers, and authoring books. It’s clear that Kreaverse is thriving with growth and opportunity.

Prajwal Parajuly, Assistant Professor of Practice, Creative Writing, School of Interwoven Arts and Sciences (SIAS), has authored a book called Karma and Lola, illustrated by Ubahang Nembang. It will be published in 2026 by Tate Publishing in the United Kingdom, HarperCollins in the Indian Subcontinent and Nepalaya in Nepal. Karma and Lola follows the story of an eight-year-old who lives in a whimsical hotel in the Himalayas with her parents and beloved dog.

A research article by Dr Tanmoy Chakrabarty, Assistant Professor, Physics, SIAS titled Magnetic and electronic structure studies on S= 1/2 Heisenberg antiferromagnetic alternating spin chain system KCuGa(PO4)2 has been published in Journal of Magnetism and Magnetic Materials.

Dr Arindam Chatterjee, Postdoctoral Fellow in Biological Sciences, SIAS has been elected a Fellow of the Linnean Society of London (FLS) as of 2 July 2025. Founded in 1788, the Linnean Society is the oldest learned society devoted to the science of natural history.
