Interpolation with polynomials is a classical problem in mathematics that has been studied for millennia. Despite that, many problems in this area remain unsolved to this day. This talk will look at interpolation with plane curves and help us get acquainted with a few open problems concerning this topic. 

Dr Souradeep Majumder is currently an Assistant Professor of Mathematics at IISER Tirupati. He received his PhD from TIFR Mumbai. Broadly, his area of interest is Algebraic Geometry. More specifically he has recently been working on Moduli of vector bundles in positive characteristic.
