A Round-up of the Kreaverse
|
Orientation has already begun, and the first wave of new energy is here. Our IMBA and MBA students of IFMR Graduate School of Business (GSB) are settling in — meeting new faces, exploring corners of the campus, and slowly making this place their own. Laughter spills out of corridors, chai breaks turn into deep conversations, and the familiar hum of a new year beginning fills the air.
But the journey is only just unfolding. Next week, we prepare to welcome the incoming cohort of School of Interwoven Arts and Sciences (SIAS); a vibrant group of dreamers, thinkers, creators, and doers. With their arrival, campus life will reach its full spark, and every space will come alive in the way only new beginnings can make possible.
As classes resume and friendships take root, the Kreaverse gently wakes up again — buzzing with ideas, echoing with possibility, and held together by a shared excitement for the road ahead. Here’s to the season of fresh starts, open minds, and the magic of becoming part of something bigger than yourself.
If you have stories or news to share with the Krea community, we invite you to connect with us at all.commsteam@krea.edu.in

We are thrilled to share, Dr Sayandeb Chowdhury, Senior Assistant Professor, Literature, SIAS has co-authored a chapter with Dr Rajendran Narayanan, Azim Premji University in World Cup! History, Politics, and Art of the Beautiful Game edited by Daniel Noemi Voionmaa (Vernon Press, 2025). Bringing together studies of footballing history in the subcontinent, the planetary sociology of fandom, literary and cinematic texts, and anecdotal and experiential observations, the chapter provocatively explores the idea of 'fanship', an imagined citizenship that fans of a footballing minion seek from a footballing powerhouse during the carnivalesque heterotopia of the football World Cup, and what that means in a country increasingly caught in the stranglehold of ultra-jingoism, cricketing and otherwise.
