ABOUT THE SESSION

Dr Abel is a senior economist who leads the Microeconomics function at the NY Fed. In 
this lecture, he will discuss the role of microeconomic research within a central bank 
and how rigorous economic analysis informs policy and decision-making. 

This lecture is mandatory for students of ECON 209 and attendance will be counted on ERP. All students majoring in Economics are encouraged to attend. It is a valuable opportunity to gain insights into contemporary microeconomic research at one of the world’s leading central banking institutions.
