A Roundup of the Kreaverse

With the exam period well underway, faculty and students were deeply immersed in the academic rhythm. The Ministry of Learning and the Office of Inclusive Learning Support (ILS) hosted a relaxed session over coffee, offering a brief respite while opening up conversations on Krea’s exam culture and assessment philosophy. IFMR GSB announced InMarc 2025, an international marketing conference scheduled for 5–7 December, focused on innovation and sustainability. 

Krea was also recognised among the Top 3 institutions for Academic Inclusion at IEEA 2025. The week also saw Krea’s debut theatre production - a reimagining of Rang De Basanti - take the stage.

 
 
 
 

InMarc 2025

IFMR Graduate School of Business (GSB) will host InMarc 2025, its inaugural international marketing conference, from 5 to 7 December 2025 at the Krea University campus. This event will bring together scholars, researchers, and industry professionals to explore the evolving landscape of marketing.

The conference, themed Imagining the Future of Marketing: Innovation & Sustainability, seeks to foster insightful discussions, share cutting-edge research, and bridge the gap between marketing theory and practice. As a first-of-its-kind initiative, the event reflects IFMR GSB’s commitment to knowledge, inquiry, and collaboration, building on its proud academic tradition while addressing future challenges and opportunities in marketing. Sayantan Datta, Assistant Professor of Practice, Krea-CWP and Amanjit Kaur Ahuja, Director, Education & Student Experience, Krea University received the award at the online event held on 13 September 2025.

Case Study

A case study, co-authored by Dr Vijaya C, Assistant Professor, Finance, IFMR GSB, along with Professor Chandrasekaran N, Operations & Strategy, Area Chair - Strategic management & Chairperson, Executive MBA Programme, IFMR GSB, titled, Saroja Modern Rice MIlls: Complexity of Sales and Operations Planning, was presented at the INDAM Special Conference held between 12 and 13 September 2025, at K J Somaiya Institute of Management, Mumbai.

 

Workshop

Dr Proma Raychaudhury, Assistant Professor, Politics, SIAS, facilitated and taught a session at the Reactionary Politics Summer School 2025, organised by the University of Bath, United Kingdom. The workshop was held on 11 and 12 September 2025.

 

Symposium

Dr Vivek Tewary, Assistant Professor, Mathematics, SIAS, presented a talk on ‘Regularity Theory for Nonlocal p-Laplace Equations’, at the GANIT symposium on ‘Stochastic Processes and Related Topics 2025’, at IIT Gandhinagar from 13-15 September 2025.

 

Talks

Dr Chirag Dhara, Assistant Professor, Environmental Studies, SIAS, delivered two talks: ‘Reconceptualizing Sustainable Development’ at the International Conference on Sustainable Development in Rome on 10 September 2025 and ‘A New Development Classification for the 21st Century’, at the European Commission’s Joint Research Centre in Ispra, Italy,  on 15 September 2025.

 

Guest Session

Dr Sairam Moturi, Assistant Professor, Finance, Accounting and Quantitative Finance, IFMR GSB, conducted sessions on Personal Finance for undergraduate students of colleges affiliated to Delhi University, Bharati Vidyapeeth's College of Engineering, and Delhi Skill Entrepreneurship University.

Ethnography Of Political Violence Exhibition

19 September 2025 | 6:30- 8:30 pm | JSW Atrium

The exhibition brings together visual and written reflections on ethnographic inquires into political violence. The work will engage deeply with themes like structrual violence, memory, resistance, displacement, trauma, state power and the ethics of witnessing. Join in for an evening of visual storytelling and reflection.

A new Rang De Basanti

Krea’s first independent theatre production reimagined Rang De Basanti, connecting its timeless call for action with contemporary conversations on nationalism, protest, memory, and history. Staged as a multimedia spectacle, it reflected present realities through minimal sets and striking projections.

Conversations Unfiltered

The Ministry of Learning and ILS hosted an open session on 18 September at the JSW Student Lounge on campus, where students joined Dr Akhila Ramnarayan, Controller of Examinations and Head, Media Lab and Dr Shilpi Sarkar, Visiting Faculty, Sociology and Social Anthropology, SIAS, to discuss exam culture and assessment philosophy.

Campus to Corporate

IFMR GSB hosted Dr Chandramouliswaran V, Vice President, PayPal, for a guest lecture on ‘Frontiers in Fintech’ on 19 September 2025. Currently leading Enterprise AI initiatives at PayPal, he previously drove the migration of PayPal’s 500+ PB data infrastructure to the cloud—powering real-time insights and innovation.

 

Pottery ASMR

On September 18 2025, as an extension of the Suicide Prevention Week, ILS and Professor Kaveri Bharath, Visiting Faculty, Global Arts, SIAS, organised a Pottery ASMR session focused on Community Wellbeing.
