Krea Literature Talk: Fieldwork as a Sex Object by Dr Meena Kandasamy
Krea Literature Talk: Fieldwork as a Sex Object by Dr Meena Kandasamy

ABOUT THE TALK

Fieldwork as a Sex Object is Meena Kandasamy's new work of fiction. When a deepfake porn video of Amrita—a young Marxist student known as Amy in her London circles—goes viral, she's swept into a hate storm. When her attempt to flip the script, Kardashian-style, backfires spectacularly, she takes the help of her friends to stem the onslaught. Fieldwork As A Sex Object skewers influencer culture, caste, political corruption, and the rising manosphere building to a checkmate you won't see coming.

Meena Kandasamy will be in discussion about this novel and her other writings with Dr Anannya Dasgupta, Associate Professor, Literature and Director, Centre for Writing and Pedagogy, Krea University.
